Contractor List

By accessing the Neighborhood Finance Corporation (“NFC”) website, including without limitation the NFC’s “Find a Contractor” resources, you acknowledge and agree to the following with respect to any contractor, sub-contractor, vendor or other service provider (each a “Contractor”) hired and engaged by you to perform work for you, including without limitation work financed in whole or in part by a loan you obtain from NFC:

  • NFC does not endorse, select, approve, supervise, or oversee any contractor, sub-contractor, vendor, or service provider (a “Contractor”), and is not responsible or liable in any way for any data, content, products, goods, or services provided by any Contractor.
  • Neighborhood Finance Corporation has not investigated and does not have an obligation to investigate the accuracy of any content, qualifications, insurance, quality of material or work performed by any Contractor listed on this website.
  • NFC shall not be responsible or liable for any performance, errors, omissions, warranties or representations made by any Contractor with respect to any work performed for you, or the failure to perform work for you, and you waive the right to bring any claim against Neighborhood Finance Corporation in connection therewith.
  • Your relationship and dealings with any Contractor are strictly between you and Contractor.  You shall be fully responsible for investigating and evaluating any Contractor to the extent you deem necessary before hiring and engaging the Contractor. You are also fully responsible for overseeing the work the Contractor performs for you.  If you need assistance with these tasks, you must secure any Contractor selection and construction management assistance you feel is necessary from persons not employed by NFC.
  • Any inspection by or on behalf of NFC of your property, or of a Contractor’s work performed on your property, is for NFC’s sole benefit.  NFC’s review of bids, inspections and all other NFC activities associated with any loan provided by NFC to you are for the sole purpose of administering NFC’s housing rehabilitation loan programs.  NFC assumes no liability for problems or defects that are not discovered or disclosed by an inspection performed by or for NFC, and you understand that inspections of older houses may not determine all items that may be in need of repair or replacement.
  • You understand that you are responsible for obtaining all city permits required for any project for which you retain a Contractor, and that the work performed by any Contractor you hire will be subject to passing an inspection by a city inspector before NFC may disburse loan fund payments to the Contractor. You also understand that you are responsible for complying, and ensuring that any Contractor you hire will comply, with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances applicable to your project.
  • You agree to indemnify and hold Neighborhood Finance Corporation, each of its affiliates, subsidiaries and their respective directors, managers, officers, employees, agents and representatives harmless from any claims, losses, or damages that may arise directly or indirectly from your use of any Contractor.
